anyone run windows through boot camp. is it really just like using a win laptop or diff. is it easy to set up? do i need a new windows install.

I run both parallels and boot camp.
Mostly boot camp for games. Parallels is for work stuff.
Boot camp could not be easier to install. You do need a windows disk and a product key. When you turn your macbook on you hold down the option key and it gives you an option to boot to windows. Once you boot to windows it's just like having a windows laptop. Apple provides all the drivers You meet during boot camp setup

now where can I get a cheap version of windows. or can I use one from my old laptop

Could prob reuse the key but might have to call MS and go through the automated system.
