New PC, HELP!

So I think it's well past time that I replace my 5 year old PC. I'm looking to build my dream PC, but I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. My last PC that I built had a GeForce 9800 GT in it, which I'm told is like 8 generations ago, so yeah... I just got on new egg and added stuff to my cart until it looked like I had all the components to make something that resembles a computer. Here is what I have so far. What am I forgetting, and will this stuff even work together?

Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811129021

Graphics Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814125458

Power Supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817182073

Ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231596

Mother Board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131998

Processor - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819116901

SSD x 2 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820721108

That adds up to like $1900 after taxes, so I'm almost to the top of my budget. I really just want to play games on this thing for the next few years, so I want to go big so its not obsolete in 2. But again, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Help me Bill Capella, you're my only hope!

PS, the wife and I are back on the WoW crack. At least for a ten day trial. We'll see if we catch the bug again and stick around longer.

You messed up the RAM link, it's linking to your PSU.

Other than that it looks compatible and the 750 watts should cover it. I don't know whether those components are your best bang for buck, there used to be regular articles on tomshardware.com listing which components (CPU/Video card mostly) are the best for each price range, very useful.

I'd recommend making a post there.

Thanks for the response. Didn't think to look at reddit. I'll check out both suggestions, and hopefully Allepac will have some more insight, so I don't overpay for stuff I don't need.

Interesting... Even if I don't go for one of the crazy high end new cards, that should mean a price drop for the current generation, no? Either way, I can definitely wait a couple of weeks.

Sorry been away from the forums but you got a lot of good info.

The only thing I don't like and this has nothing to do with performance or quality. I just hate AMD/ATI. So the 7990 just really bugs me :) I'd go with a GTX 780. But this coming from a guy who has a GTX Titan on order :)

Motherboard is solid, love the Asus boards. Was looking at the Z87-DELUXE myself. Or the ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME but that's probably overkill at 400

DDR3 2666 memory might be a bit of an overkill. But that's ok.

Looks good!

After researching it a bit, I decided to go with this card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130918
I was on the fence on getting a Titan, but from what I read, the Titan isn't gonna do much more than the 780 for gaming. Now my only real question, is whether I should wait until October and get a 290x, which from the benchmarks I saw, will be better than a Titan, and cost around the same as the 780? Other than that I think I'm ready to start buying parts.

Oh, and I talked to my friend who works at intel here in the bay, and he is going to get me his 50% employee discount on an i7, so I'm gonna get a better one than I had posted earlier.

I could probably get you a haswell i5 for under $100. 4 cores > 2. I'll ask him if you're interested.
